Armsday Weapon Recommendations

Incoming Shipments

#3 Zarinaea-D | Auto Rifle

High base stability, so to get it ready for competitive play, we’ll wanna fix its low range. We’ll use Rifled Barrel to more than double the range while sacrificing a small amount of reload speed. Counterbalance will assist the weapon’s recoil pattern to be more predictable, and partial refund is a forgettable side-effect.

#1 SUROS ARI-41 | Auto Rifle

Rank 1’s perks gets the edge this week, as they shore up this gun’s lackluster range stat with little tradeoff. Smallbore and Hammer Forged will get range to competitive levels, and Rodeo, while mysterious in its effects, is a barely passable perk. Then you’ve got Reinforced Barrel to increase range. Focus Fire lowers its overall DPS in PvP, so it falls just a bit short of Rank 1’s versatility.

#3 SUROS ARI-45 | Auto Rifle

Out of all of the rolls, #3 provides the best benefit with the least tradeoff. Hammer Forged is an awesome no-risk perk and Feather Mag is an underrated choice that makes a significant impact on reload speed. Smallbore makes it PvP-ready while making a small sacrifice in clip size and reload speed, and Glass Half Full is a straight up DPS boost with no drawback.

#1 or #3 SUROS JLB-47 | Rocket Launcher

Rank 1 and Rank 3 have basically the same great roll. Hard Launch increases Velocity and Blast Radius, our most desired stats, Flared Magwell increases reload speed, Grenades and Horseshoes is a necessity for both PvE and PvP, and Javelin increases Velocity to make shooting that much more decisive.

#1 or #3 Uzume RR4 | Sniper Rifle

This week offers another toss-up. Rank 1’s roll will have you ready; low-zoom scope, Snapshot and Unflinching… what more could you ask for? However, if you find yourself running out of ammo too soon, Rank 3’s Clown Cartridge can be just the thing you’re looking for. You’ll get the same low-zoom scope, but you’ll have to settle for Quickdraw in the place of Snapshot.

What to Order Next Week?

The perks next week may be different than the ones offered this week, so get a feel for the RoF/Impact model that you feel most comfortable with.

Zarinaea-D | Auto Rifle

The Zarinaea-D has a rate of fire/impact similar to the Monte Carlo and Zhalo Supercell. With high base stability and reload speed, this gun will have a place in PvP, although we’ll be crossing our fingers for range buffs, as its base 25 range needs help for both PvE and PvP.

Tuonela SR4 | Scout Rifle

This Scout Rifle offers the Vision of Confluence Impact/RoF blend with impressive stability, and will fit your loadout comfortably in the Crucible.

SUROS JLB-47 | Rocket Launcher

Rolls > Stats when it comes to Rocket Launchers, but this will offer the right stats to be competitive in PvE and PvP. It’s got a high blast radius, 2 in the magazine and velocity of 74, it’ll give you everything you need to hit your targets, and we highly recommend placing an order to try it out next week.

Strongbow-D | Shotgun

This shotgun is no different than the Dead Orbit’s Patch-A, The Next Big Thing, or the test shotguns we’ve been using week to week. Not a personal favorite of mine… do you guys enjoy this archetype?

Aoife Rua-D | Sniper Rifle

It’s got equivalent Impact to the Low-Grade Humility and Patience and Time. The stability is lower though, so you’ll best be aiming for headshots and not double-taps. Because there’s no chance to roll the classic Ambush or Shortgaze scopes on a Hakke sniper, you may have trouble adapting immediately in Crucible.
